STEP 14 - CAFFEINE

CAFFEINE is a stimulant that affects blood flow to the brain. Consuming too much caffeine can cause head tension, but so can quitting completely, especially if done suddenly or cold turkey. People who drink caffeine regularly are used to exposing their brain chemistry to a certain amount of it, so a sudden withdrawal can cause head tension.

While some may consider taking caffeine out of their diet entirely, keeping it at a steady, reasonable level can prevent head tension from occurring.

Essential Oils can help ease the body’s craving for caffeine, especially when trying to cut down or quit.

Citrus oils are especially good choices, as they are cleansing, uplifting, and detoxifying:

  • Grapefruit

  • Lemon

  •  Lime

  • Wild Orange

  • Metabolic Blend

GRAPEFRUIT is an Essential Oil that can help support head discomfort caused by caffeine. It is cold pressed from the rinds of the fruit and is a cleansing and purifying citrus oil with an invigorating and energizing aroma.
