STEP 17 - MEDICATION OVERUSE

MEDICATION OVERUSE head tension, also known as REBOUND, can feel like a dull pressure within the head—or it can be more intense.

People who use over the counter pain medication frequently (more than 15 days of the month) or use medications that contain caffeine, can experience this type of head tension.

Essential Oils that help the body in its detoxification process as well as supporting the body to break addictive habits can be helpful with this type of head tension:

• Rosemary

• Geranium

• Tangerine

• Cilantro

• Juniper Berry

• Black Pepper

• Bergamot

• Grapefruit

ROSEMARY is an Essential Oil that has a long history of being supportive for the brain and is well known for its effect on memory. Due to its unique chemical composition, it is also useful for many areas of the body, including the muscles, respiratory system, skin, and the liver and kidneys.

PRACTICAL USES

• Diffuse while studying to maintain concentration.

• Take internally to help reduce nervous tension and occasional fatigue.*

• Add one to two drops of ROSEMARY Essential Oil to meats and favorite entrées for flavoring and to support healthy digestion.*

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DIFFUSION: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

INTERNAL USE: Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.

TOPICAL USE: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimize any skin sensitivity. See additional cautions below.

CAUTIONS

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
