STEP 9 - HEAD TENSION AND TEMPERATURE

broken image

Any bacterial or viral illness that causes temperature fluctuations in the body can bring on generalized head tension, felt as mild to severe pressure in the head. Urgent medical attention is needed if this head tension is accompanied by a stiff neck or a skin rash.

Cooling the body can help with this kind of head tension, so Essential Oils high in menthol are a good choice. Spearmint and Peppermint can both be useful, but PEPPERMINT has a higher component of menthol, which makes it a soothing and effective Essential Oil to naturally cool the body.

The PEPPERMINT plant is very high in menthol content which makes it an excellent choice for temperature-induced head tension. Used all over the world as a food flavoring and tooth hygiene flavor, this oil also helps occasional stomach upset and supports the respiratory system.* PEPPERMINT continues to be one of the best-selling favorites among our Essential Oils.

PRACTICAL USES

• Use a drop of PEPPERMINT with Lemon Essential Oil in water for a healthy, refreshing mouth rinse.

• Take one to two drops in a Veggie Capsule to alleviate occasional stomach upset.*

• Add two to three drops to your favorite smoothie recipe for a refreshing twist.

• Place one drop in palm of hand with one drop Wild Orange and one drop Frankincense, then inhale for a mid-day pick-me-up.
